Giller Prize and Forest of Reading

The library is pleased to inform all patrons of our recent acquisition of books from the 2017 nominee lists for the White Pine, Red Maple, and Golden Oak awards from the Forest of Reading.  For the more ambitious readers, we also have Bellevue Square by Michael Redhill, the Giller Prize winner for 2017.   All Giller shortlisted novels are also available in our collection.  Drop by, take out a book, and do some reading!

Senior Boys Volleyball

Big Shout out to the Senior Boys Volleyball team winning their playoff game vs Jarvis last night . The team now plays in the AA Final Wednesday in the North Gym versus Monarch Park . Come out and show your support for the team …

Danforth Merchandise!!!

Danforth Merch sales begin on Monday, November 6 and will run until Monday, November 20th. Pick up forms in your homeroom class today and payment can be made to student council. You can find them every lunch until November 20th in the front foyer.

MaST Students Needed!!

OCAD University!!

Are you interested in applying to OCAD University? OCAD U is the largest and most comprehensive art, design and media university in Canada. They will be in C26 (Ms. Jokinen’s room) at lunch on November 7.

Biotechnology Comes to Danforth

On Friday October 27th and Monday October 30th Dr. Filio Billia of the University Health Network and her lab assistants paid a visit to Mr Weight’s grade 12 biology classes. The students had an excellent opportunity to practice using a micro pipette and observe gel electrophoresis in action. This was an excellent learning opportunity for all the students. Thank you to Dr. Billia and her team for taking the time to visit us at Danforth.
